Backcountry Productions LLC
Everything here was made outside.
A one-person studio working out of a 25-foot trailer. Stories, film, and photographs from the places you have to drive a long way to reach.

What comes off the road
Different formats, same trip. Everything below gets made in the same places, usually in the same week.
Podcast
Wilderness Untold
Firsthand accounts of what people run into past the trailhead — the things they don't bring up at work on Monday. Recorded in the field, told straight, with room left for you to decide.
Video
Film & Channels
Long-form video from the road — the truck and trailer build, off-grid power, forest roads, and the country at the end of them. Made for people who'd rather watch the whole thing than the clip.
Stills
Photography
Wildlife, landscape and night-sky work from my travels. Mostly shot hours from a paved road, often at 2 a.m., waiting for the moon to get out of the frame.
Goods
Shop
Prints, and small-run goods built around the shows. Nothing here that hasn't been used on an actual trip first.
Field note
Backcountry Productions is one Alaskan, a Ram 3500, and a 25-foot travel trailer that runs on solar. The trailer moves but the work gets edited wherever there's enough sun to charge the batteries.
The batteries set the schedule and the weather sets the rest. Neither one cares what was on the itinerary.
